Wine and Veggie Lasagne and Knitting

These three things make up a PERFECT day!!

Today I was off work so I got to do 3 of my favorite things all in the same day. I was able to head to Fiberge, our LYS, to conduct website training. You see, a friend of mine helped me build a website for the good women at Fiberge. It was fun to do because the main requirements were to keep it "simple". I LOVE simple. Simple makes sense and it easy to achieve. Simple usually satisfies the needs of multiple people, in this case, the local knitting community. They're happy with the website and we are happy they are happy!!  Win-Win!!!

After a fun day, I headed home to make lasagne for us. Now, the big deal about this is since my surgery, I've done very little cooking. Well, let me be clear - I've done pretty much no cooking. My hubby has made all sorts of dishes, very successfully I might add. So, it's time for me to step up and prepare more meals.

I made a half meat and noodles/half veggies with a little meat lasagne. It's cooking right now and I hope it's as delicious as it smells. And lastly, I already opened the wine, started on that while I was cooking.

Oh - and after dinner - knit knit knit........:)

Holiday Weekend aka Wedding Weekend

I haven't had a chance to write lately because I've been so busy:

• working - kicking off a project takes a lot of time, especially this one!!
• planning the wedding - just pulling everything together, making sure we have bought everything we need. 
• planning the food for the weekend with the kids, family and friends. We have lots of activities planned for the weekend so it's gonna be a BLAST!! 
  
• Beka moved - so we helped her get settled, went shopping for her - a little early Christmas / Birthday present :)
• helping out on a friend's website - I have a dear friend who is launching a website next week but isn't technical, so I've been helping her get it ready. 
• knitting - has been last on the list, but I have to finish my beaded shawl for my company holiday party on 12/4. I only have about 15 rows to go --- I am going to find time this weekend to work on it while I'm hanging out with the girlfriends. 

I guess things will get back to normal just in time for Christmas!!

Wedding 19 days and counting :)

wow, it's coming so fast. The most important part of this whole process is having all of my kids and our entire family together to celebrate with our friends. It's going to be so much fun. I just hope it turns out as I have imagined it :) 

The good thing is that I'm really not stressed. I sort of just think it is what it is and I'm getting married!!  No matter what else happens that day - I'm getting married to my high school sweetheart after 35 years!!!!!  It's amazing and awesome.

Pictures will be coming.....I can't wait to see how big Abigail has gotten since August. And to see all my grandchildren together and all my kids - it's such a blessing. I love my children and grandchildren so much!!  And then to be marrying Roland is just the icing on the cake. I'm an truly happy.

Aronoff Center, Cincinnati - the Beatles Rain show

Tonight, we're going to see the Beatles Rain show at the Aronoff Center downtown. We have really great seats and I'm so excited. I've read reviews and this show was given really great reviews. More tomorrow on the show and restaurant that we choose.

Knit Club was GREAT!!

Last night was GREAT! 7 knitters showed up and we had so much fun. We talked, drank coffee/tea, knitted, laughed, really enjoyed ourselves. It was so nice. I hope they can make it again next week.

Going to Knit tonight

We're going to Borders in Mason tonight from 7-9 to knit. Some new knitters are coming too. I am looking forward to going, it's been a while. I'll have my blanket done tonight for Abigail and am going to start a lacy scarf for myself next.
