One Man's Clutter is Another's Treasure

Cleaning the clutter!!  Want it?

We are donating: men's and women's clothing, women's shoes and purses and paperback books.

We're selling 4 iPhones on eBay. (1) 3G 8GB, (2) 3G 16GB, (1) White 3GS 32 GB.  All work and all are AT&T ready. The 3G 8GB is the cleanest, slightly used by hubby, still have box and brand new power cords.

Craigslist is getting an old truck we want to sell.

Half Price Books will get movies and CDs.

But then there are a TON of video games and books. I'm not quite sure where is the best place to sell them.  Craigslist maybe?

Maybe there's more to come that I haven't uncovered just yet....

Last week we gave a good friend our tiller which we weren't going to need anymore. It's old and a beast, but it works and he will definitely put it to good use. Plus we got an offer to enjoy in a harvest meal in the fall as a result of everything they grow.

Titanic

We are going to see Titanic in the movie theater today. I've only seen it on TV and I'm sure it will be totally different with the theater experience. I remember my Mom and Aunts talking about the tragedy of the Titanic.

My mom wasn't born yet, but she wasn't too far behind it. The Titanic met its fate 100 years ago yesterday, 4/14/1912. My Mom was born in 1916, so as she grew up, people were still talking about it. She recalled the stories that people told, the grandeur of the vessel, the people that made the voyage, the rich and poor, ending in such sadness. It affected that generation much in the same way that "4 Dead in Ohio" affected us. It left it's mark and James Cameron captured it in this epic tale.

I'm taking tissues with me today..............

Denver Fires

Last week while I was working in Denver, there were terrible fires in the mountains. We were well over 20 miles from the fires, but this is what I saw from our office, hotel and the restaurant. Took me back to my San Diego fire days - not a very pleasant time.

These were taken after work.

See the sun in this shot, it's the tiny orange dot in the middle of the smoke.

This was when it was just getting dark after dinner from the Park Meadows Mall. By then the wind had blown ash and smoke into the city.

The Project Team Is Amazing!!

I've been on lots of work trips in my career. I've traveled all around the world with my colleagues. I'm happy to say that all of my trips were successful - reached the trip objectives. This trip was no different. I met our IT team, enjoyed working with them, I learned a lot from them and I hope that I was able to share some light on the requirements. All of the people on our product team are so smart! It's always a pleasure to work with so many intelligent folks!!!

But meeting the basic objectives is never enough. If you can't enjoy yourself with your travel partners, then it's kind of a bummer of a trip. This trip was EXTREMELY fun, had some stressful moments, like when I blew out my knee - OUCH!!! But we laughed, we worked, we laughed, we ate, we worked, we drank and we laughed. It was fun! I love the team I'm working with and when we all get along so nicely, it makes it fun to get the work done.

We are home for a week, then Monday after Easter, we fly out at 6am! YIKES!! I will have to get up at 3:30am to meet my team to ride together. At least we will enjoy our time together and accomplish even more next time.
