Snow Day Part Deux

As you can see, we are having the second day of a snow storm. It's great!! We got 5 inches yesterday, then about 2 inches of ice on the top, now getting about 3-5 more inches! It's a winterwonderland!

Enjoy!

iPhone

I got a new iPhone for Christmas and I LOVE it!! I'm amazed at how easy it was to set it up and get all my contacts, calendar, music, photos and apps. And the user interface - it can't be beat. I've been a crackberry user for over 4 years now and here I am forsaking the world of blackberry for an iPhone - I kind of feel like I'm cheating on my phone!!

The bad thing - I'm already addicted. My husband says I spend too much time on it. I'm hoping to chill out some.......eventually, when the newness wears off!!

Cute Dogs

Aren't these just the cutest little dogs you've ever seen!?! The guy at the top was just visiting us during this photo, his name is Shorty. Then there's Charlie in the middle and good ol' Snicker at the bottom.

I'm really crazy about our dogs.

Back at the office

Well, it's the first week after the holiday break. I worked all through the holidays, but many people took vacations and seem very rested at work! Good for them, it's good to take a break, enjoy some down time. Of course, I only know this in theory because I mainly work. Oh I might take a long weekend, or an extra day coupled with a National Holiday, but I rarely take a week or (heaven forbid) two!

My project is nearing delivery and when it goes out the door, I'll be wrapping up, closing it out and heading to another client. Not sure yet who that is, but it's coming in about 4 weeks. Maybe I can take a week off in February while Tamara is here. Wouldn't that be nice!?!

I'm also studying for my PMP certification FINALLY. For my friends and co-workers that know me, they know I've taken the classes 3 times in the past, this is my 4th time to study in a group.....so I guess it's about time to bit the bullet and take the exam. I still have to finish my application. Once I get that done, I'll feel like the test is a breeze! So, for the next 12 weeks I'm studying. :)  I'm even considering taking the Program Mgmt Certification exam and be the first in my company to achieve that. Afterall, I meet all eligibility requirements from recent past jobs. Now that would be sweeeeeeet!!

Church this morning

Great time at church this morning. Rollie got baptized, we both joined the church and the service was outstanding. It's all a dream come true for me. Every step of what we do brings us closer together and solidifies a lifelong relationship. I love him so much and it's great to get together.

Santa Snicker put his hat away until next year!

Putting Away Christmas

Today, we put away all things that are Christmas in the house. It was definitely time, maybe even over time. The tree came down on Tuesday, 12/30, but all the other decorations stayed up. We quit lighting the outside lights Jan 1st and are taking down the Christmas lights right now.

It is just kind of sad to put it all away. Something magical happens when the boxes get opened, the stockings get hung, the Santa's come out and the house glitters and shines! Memories of Christmas' past. Celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Special holiday events, parties, baking, cooking, friends, family, Christmas Carols, sending REAL Christmas cards via snail mail!! Poinsettias, presents, and lots of holiday cheer!!

As the last box gets put away, we will fondly remember this Christmas season. All the joy, love and hope for a wonderful 2009!!

2009 a new year

New years are full of hope, expectations, possibilities, and
anticipation. We don't know exactly what is going to happen but it
always seems better than the year that just passed.

For me, I am welcoming the new year knowing that I will become a
grandma 2 times I'm 2009! That's enough to make me excited! Babies!
It's been 16 years since there were babies I'm the house!

Plus life is good for us. We are happy with status quo. We don't have
money for extras but we have enough to pay our bills, on occasion go
to the movies and out to dinner. We have time to enjoy with friends
and family and of course our dogs!

I hope that 2009 brings an end to the war in Iraq, a steadying of the
economy, jobs back to the unemployed, and a focus of Godly values back
on the lives of all men and women.

Faith, hope and love. But the greatest of the is love. 1Corinthians
